First of Fall

was yesterday, and it was an incredible day here, weather-wise.

One cruise ship was in, and even though there was only one [sometimes there are three], I've never seen so many tourists at the Reversing Falls. It was also a perfect time for them to visit there because the tide was coming in, big time. Sometimes there are buses there at slack tide, and that's so unfortunate because you don't get any idea of what it's all about. It actually took me some time to fully grasp the whole thing about the tides...you must see it at least two times in  a day to understand what it does.

Today, however...looking out the window, it really looks like a fall day with thick fog but that will go away. It's not even 9 o'clock yet. Two cruise ships in today.

When I get up in the morning I start with the email, I read and reply.. Then I go through all the other stuff like Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and whatnot. This could be a full-time job easily..  I get my Posterous subscriptions as a summary in an email, which is good. Many of the posts are funny pictures and stuff but I don't comment on every single one of them. Perhaps I should.

This is turning out to be a rather pointless post without any substance but I just wanted to write something. I've done so much 'customizing' of my Posterous now so I thought I'd better write something instead of just figuring out the CSS/HTML stuff. I'm quite happy with it as it is now. I'm quite certain that we're going to see oodles of lovely themes appearing here in Posterous in a while -- considering how many creative people there are out there.

I put in this picture of the pulp mill because I kind of liked the reflection. Unfortunately, when I post this, it will appear again in my Facebook because it showed up with I uploaded them to my Flickr account. That's the downside of all this -- one has to decide beforehand which picture to use in Posterous before uploading it to Flickr -- otherwise you get them TWICE in Facebook!

Ha ha...when I started to type up this, I did have something in mind that I was going to write about but I forgot it! Guess I'm too tuned out in the morning..

I love the reflection. I think I like it better than the sail boat. I didn't connect any of my social sites for that reason. I keep thinking I will post but there comes a point when what I was thinking about passes and I don't do it. I like what you did with the page.

I keep forgetting what I think about.

I've connected some of the networks and it's bascially alright, except for the pictures.  When I post a picture with a post here in Posterous, that I've previously uploaded to Flickr, it shows up twice in FB. The link to my post shows up separately. People click on the picture and comment on it, but never on the link to the post. That doesn't really matter, but it looks stupid...like I don't know what I've posted where. If I know beforehand, that this or that picture I'm going to use in Posterous, I can set that to private when I upload them to Flickr, but that's not always the case.

LOLOL, that just cracks me up. *I keep forgetting what I think about.* But I do too. I will be thinking now what was that I was going to write about? Forget and then remember later in the shower which is not a good place for a pencil and paper.

As far as the picture posting twice I look for the posterous link but sometimes I also go to flickr. So I'm guessing your link to flickr always posts first there?

There was something I was going to write to you about in an email two days ago and I STILL haven't remembered it.. it will come back though -- it's always like that.

When I post a picture or a bunch of pictures with my Posterous post, they're being put in an album of their own on FB. I can never PLAN when I'm going to write here ... it's always the spur of the moment, so I've always already uploaded them to Flickr. My Flickr account is about the only thing I haven't screwed up ever...probably because I pay for it *LOL*.
